Our Good Luck Rabid Wolf Spider

Rigel and I saw a rabid wolf spider running around at the bowling alley tonight. It kept trying to crawl into our shoes and bowling bags, and occasionally stopped to watch us bowl. We did really well when it was near us; not so much when it crawled over to the other lanes. It was our good luck rabid wolf spider. I got 128 the first two games. Then we lost track of it and I didn’t do nearly as well (108 for the last game I think).

I’ve been crazybusy with things to do lately, as per usual. Big plans going on right now. Things are going to be really chaotic the next month or so. Major upheaval sort of chaotic. But in a good way. We hope.

Mom summoned me out to her place on Friday because her computer monitor died, so after consulting Rigel the internet kitty I drove all the way out to the nearest Best Buy (Martinsburg, WV) to get a replacement and recycle the old one. Had it loaded in the back of the Prius. The exit off of I-81 at Martinsburg has no traffic light, just a stop sign, so when I got a break in the traffic I floored it to make a left, and heard “sliiiiiiide, whack!” from the back. Oops. Well, if the monitor wasn’t broken before, it sure was now.

West Virginia alas doesn’t do the $10 gift card for recycling old monitors thing, however I did pick up a Dell flatscreen that was previously opened for a slight discount, so it all worked out in the end.
